Super geek week continues! First the Dark Knight Rises trailer premieres (Catwoman!), then today a whole bunch of awesome comics were released, and on Friday the Avengers opens. Nerd overload. Oh, also: one of those awesome comics is Supurbia #3! Hope you check it out. Here are some of my favorite penciled pages from the issue.

With Supurbia #3 coming out next week, I thought it might be fun to share some of the process of creating a page for the series. Heeeeere we go!

This page was roughed out digitally in Photoshop and then transferred to a comic book board and penciled traditionally. After that, I scanned the drawing back in to Photoshop, cleaned up the lines and did a sort of digital inking. Then the page went to the uber-talented Gabriel Cassata for color and was finished with letters by Steve Wands.

I love me some Runaways. (Dear Brian K. Vaughan, please bring this series back! Thanks.) This piece started out as a warm-up exercise, but I liked the drawing so much that I polished it up and added color. 100% digital. Hope you dig it!

BOOM! released their June 2012 solicitations, and along with them came the cover for Supurbia #4, drawn by yours truly (my first for the series!). The pencils for the cover are above, alongside the finished piece. Gabriel Cassata killed it with the colors – I really love what he did with the drawing. Hope you dig!
